About The Position

The Vice President for Enrollment Management (VPEM) serves as the University’s chief architect of student enrollment strategy and is responsible for building and sustaining an integrated, analytically informed, and collaborative approach to enrollment across the institution. Reporting directly to the Senior Vice President and Provost, the VPEM provides visionary leadership to all enrollment functions and ensures alignment with institutional goals for student access, academic quality, retention, and net tuition revenue.

Requirements

  • Master's degree.
  • Minimum of 10 years of progressively responsible leadership experience in enrollment management.
  • Expertise in strategic planning, analytics, and financial aid.
  • Experience leading complex organizations and collaborative initiatives.
  • Knowledge of enrollment trends, CRM systems, and compliance.

Nice To Haves

  • Doctorate strongly preferred.
  • Experience in a public research university.
  • Background in international recruitment and global programs.
  • Experience with CRM Slate or similar enterprise enrollment systems.
  • Commitment to service excellence and cross‑functional leadership.

Responsibilities

  • Strategic Enrollment Leadership Establish and maintain a comprehensive, research-informed enrollment management strategy.
  • Analyze enrollment trends to guide integrated enrollment efforts across all student populations.
  • Ensure enrollment goals support academic priorities, student success objectives and financial sustainability with a focus on net tuition revenue.
  • Maintain appropriate student headcount distribution across all enrollment areas.
  • Strategically align organizational structures, staffing levels and processes to promote coordination across colleges and administrative units.
  • Financial Aid Strategy Provide vision and guidance for the development of innovative financial aid packaging strategies, optimization of merit scholarship programs, and creating affordability initiatives to maximize enrollment effectiveness while ensuring fiscal responsibility.
  • Oversee strategic financial aid modeling with higher education consulting partners.
  • Pipeline and Market Development Provide strategic direction for domestic, international, and online markets, ensuring alignment with institutional priorities and capacity.
  • Identify opportunities and oversee the development of new markets that advance enrollment growth.
  • Collaborate with academic leadership and Online Learning Services to support enrollment strategies for online and hybrid programs.
  • International Programs and Global Engagement Provide strategic oversight of the current international office and recruitment efforts, ensuring alignment with enrollment objectives and academic priorities.
  • Provide vision and leadership with regard to growth and development in the areas of global education, international recruitment and partnerships and study abroad.
  • Collaboration and Institutional Integration Partner with University Brand Office to maximize marketing impact.
  • Collaborate with Student Success to improve retention and persistence.
  • Strengthening service excellence in communication and support for students and families.
  • Collaborate with leadership within various divisions such as Planning, Strategies, and Insights as well as IT to gain the necessary data to develop evidence-informed strategies to support enrollment growth and revenue optimization.
