About The Position

Jupiter Power is an energy infrastructure company focused on the development, construction, and operation of battery energy storage assets in wholesale electricity markets. Formed in 2017, the company is a national leader in energy storage deployment, utilizing its proprietary dispatch optimization applications to support both merchant and contracted structures. Backed by BlackRock’s Diversified Infrastructure business, Jupiter Power has a strategic and established portfolio of nearly 1,400 MW / 2,800 MWh in operations or under construction in the U.S., with a leading pipeline of over 12,000 MW in active development. We are seeking a Vice President, Corporate to join our Corporate Team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing strategic leadership and operational oversight of the IT, Human Resources, and Corporate Operations functions, managing and developing high-performing, multi-disciplinary teams. The position is responsible for setting departmental goals, managing budgets, ensuring regulatory compliance, and aligning all functional activities with corporate strategy and the Chief Legal Officer’s directives. The role drives cross-functional collaboration, supports company-wide decision-making, and oversees key initiatives including talent management, technology strategy, office operations, and reporting. The ideal candidate brings experience in high-growth, private equity–backed environments and a strong ability to balance strategic planning with hands-on execution. This role will be based out of our Austin, TX office and is subject to our Company’s return-to-office policy which currently requires a minimum of three days a week in the office.

Requirements

  • Preferred 8 years of similar prior experience, required [5] years in a multi-disciplinary role.
  • Preferred graduate degree; required college degree in related field.
  • Required experience with private equity-backed, high growth, and strong culture companies.

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct leadership and supervision including managing direct reports in each of the IT, HR, and Corporate Operations departments.
  • Mentor and develop these departments.
  • Set departmental goals, track performance, and ensure alignment with corporate strategy.
  • Develop high performing teams through coaching, professional development, and clear expectations.
  • Oversee all monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting for each department as required or needed.
  • This position follows the directives, strategic priorities, and operational guidance issued by the Chief Legal Officer and ensures all functional decisions across HR, IT, and Corporate Operations align with the CLO’s expectations, risk framework, and enterprise-wide governance standards.
  • Oversee all HR operations, including talent acquisition, onboarding, performance management, annual performance reviews, promotions, compensation, administrating annual bonus program, headcount planning, benchmarking payroll, benefits programs (administration and renewals), policies, systems and employee relations including hiring and separations.
  • Supervise and mentor the HR department.
  • Ensure employment policies and practices are compliant with legal requirements and reflect best practices.
  • Serve as consultant to leadership to develop organizational culture, engagement, and retention strategies.
  • Oversee IT strategy and daily operations, including systems management, cybersecurity, data governance, and support services.
  • Approve and prioritize technology investments that improve efficiency, security, and scalability.
  • Supervise and mentor the IT department.
  • Oversee the Company’s offices and office administration activities, compliance processes, and other related support.
  • Oversee Company and department event planning.
  • Supervise and mentor the Corporate Operations department.
  • Drive cross-department initiatives that improve coordination, communication, and workflow.
  • Consult with senior leaders to support company-wide decision-making.
  • Develop and monitor department budgets for HR, IT, and Corporate Operations.
  • Allocate resources effectively to support company priorities and operational needs.
  • Assist and support the General Counsel in managing legal related matters as necessary.
  • Significant travel as needed between Austin/Houston/Chicago, occasional travel to project sites.
  • Work in office setting example regarding Company’s return to office policy.
  • Perform responsibilities with the manager mindset ensuring work furthers the Company's goals while protecting Company.

  • Plan accordingly and seek input on workstreams allowing the applicable stakeholder sufficient time to review with the understanding the stakeholder has numerous priorities to manage.
