As Vice President, Controller, you will lead a high-performing, scaled accounting organization and serve as a key partner in strengthening the company’s financial foundation during this period of sustained growth. This role is central to ensuring financial integrity, discipline, and transparency while enabling expansion across new store openings, commercial capabilities, and M&A. You will also drive operational excellence by advancing systems, automation, and processes to support increasing scale and complexity. This is an opportunity to build on a strong foundation and further modernize the finance function—enhancing efficiency, improving insights, and positioning the organization for continued, disciplined growth.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance (required); CPA certification (required).
  • Minimum of two years in public accounting (audit).
  • Seven or more years in a controllership or senior accounting role, preferably in a public company.
  • Leading and developing a high-performing accounting organization including direct oversight of corporate accounting, technical accounting, financial reporting, accounts payable, and tax.
  • Strong expertise in SEC filings (including 10K and 10Q reports), financial reporting, ERP system implementation, and a deep understanding of U.S. GAAP and federal/state regulations.
  • Demonstrating integrity, sound judgment, and credibility with executive leadership and external stakeholders, fostering a high-accountability, collaborative culture.
  • Strong business acumen with the ability to connect financial outcomes to operational drivers and support capital allocation decisions

Responsibilities

  • Lead the company’s accounting, financial reporting, and controllership functions with precision and agility in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
  • Ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP, SEC reporting, SOX requirements, and applicable tax regulations.
  • Oversee the financial close process, internal controls, and external audits to maintain the highest levels of accuracy, integrity, and transparency.
  • Strengthen internal controls and optimize processes related to financial reporting and corporate compliance, ensuring proactive measures for risk mitigation.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to executive leadership, providing clear financial insights and strategic perspective to guide decision-making.
  • Partner cross-functionally with FP&A, operations, and business leaders to align financial performance with forecasts, plans, and execution.
  • Manage complex consolidations, multi-entity structures, and M&A accounting, including integration and post-close financial alignment.
  • Lead and develop a high-performing accounting organization, fostering a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and excellence.
  • Own and optimize ERP and accounting systems, ensuring they serve as a scalable, reliable source of truth across the organization.
  • Drive automation and process improvements to enhance efficiency and support growth.
  • Maintain deep expertise in inventory and lease accounting, ensuring alignment with industry best practices.
  • Build strong relationships across the organization to influence stakeholders and drive alignment on key financial initiatives.
