The ideal candidate may bring experience at the Vice President or Controller level, aligned with the qualifications and requirements outlined below. The Corporate Controller is a strategic leadership position with responsibility for overseeing the company’s global accounting operations and maintaining the effectiveness of the internal control environment. This role ensures the integrity of financial information, compliance with U.S. GAAP and applicable regulatory requirements, and supports strategic decision-making and internal and external reporting. The Corporate Controller is instrumental in driving operational excellence, automation, and scalability within the finance function.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting
  • 15+ years progressive accounting/controllership experience, with 5+ at senior leadership, including significant experience working at a public company and/or public accounting firm.
  • Significant experience working with accounting / financial reporting systems and in designing and implementing new systems and processes.
  • Demonstrated experience developing an effective team.
  • Strong technical accounting knowledge (GAAP/IFRS) and consolidation experience.
  • Demonstrated experience in building more efficient and effective processes.
  • Must have strong experience with Microsoft Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint and Word.
  • Demonstrated experience in developing partnerships across a business to support decision making and influence change.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop a high performing finance team to engage with the business to achieve organizational goals and maintain a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
  • Oversee the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes, ensuring timely, accurate, and complete financial statements and management reports.
  • Provide executive‑level financial insight, variance analysis, and performance metrics to support strategic decision‑making.
  • Continually evaluate opportunities to streamline and improve close and reporting processes.
  • Document technical accounting positions for material accounting issues.
  • Establish, maintain, and update accounting policies, practices, and procedures to ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP, SEC and FASB regulations, and relevant state and local requirements.
  • Oversee the effectiveness of the internal control environment and ensure full Sarbanes‑Oxley compliance.
  • Foster a culture that prioritizes financial integrity, strong controls, and transparency.
  • Serve as the primary liaison with internal and external auditors.
  • Lead annual financial audits and quarterly reviews, providing timely support, documentation, and recommendations for improvements.
  • Champion the implementation and optimization of financial systems, business intelligence tools, and automation initiatives to increase efficiency and scalability.
  • Drive standardization and process modernization across global accounting operations.
  • Ensure the integrity and reliability of financial systems, processes, and data.
  • Partner with leadership across departments to enhance financial discipline, strengthen operational processes, and support company growth initiatives.
  • Direct and manage all aspects of the Company’s tax reporting function ensuring timely and accurate regulatory filings globally as well as ensuring an appropriate tax provision.
  • Oversee accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll, and stock plan administration.
  • Contribute to budget development and forecasting activities.
  • Document product and therapy related field reports within the prescribed timelines and provide any necessary documents required to complete the investigation. Provide follow-up reporting as needed.
  • Complete training requirements and competency confirmations as required for this position within the required timeline.
  • Comply with applicable quality system procedures/policies and make suggestions for continuous process improvement.
  • Ensure all direct reports maintain training records that comply with applicable quality system requirements.
