As our next Vice President, Consumer Lending, you will influence one of the fastest-evolving areas of our credit union, shaping lending programs, sparking innovation in member access, and defining strategies that strengthen financial well-being. This role offers the opportunity to lead the strategic direction, structure, and performance of consumer lending, including indirect lending, centralized underwriting, credit cards, personal loans, and digital lending channels. You will plan and execute lending strategies that strengthen portfolio performance, introduce new systems capabilities, and enhance the overall member experience, particularly in a period of operational modernization. You will oversee indirect and dealer-based lending relationships, conduct performance assessments, align pricing and compensation strategies, and present program outcomes at the organizational level. You will evaluate product performance, guide enhancements, and ensure consumer lending initiatives reflect the needs of today’s borrowers and competitive market conditions. You will work cross-functionally to drive member-focused innovation, including process automation and appropriate use of AI-enabled tools and decisioning capabilities. Requirements

  • At least five to seven years of consumer lending experience, including managerial responsibility for staff, performance, and lending outcomes.
  • Knowledge of loan products, underwriting standards, and portfolio dynamics
  • Demonstrated ability to balance responsible credit practices with strategic growth goals.
  • A bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience is required.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience leading or preparing for lending system conversions, optimizing lending processes, and introducing modernized lending tools.
  • Experience working with indirect lending programs, while building dealer relationships that expand market reach, will be advantageous.
  • Comfort setting up or restructuring teams and aligning talent with evolving priorities is also important.
