Although we would prefer a candidate to work in a hybrid arrangement (minimum of three days per week in the office) near a local office, this position can also be worked virtually. Being a Lead Consultant on the Aon Consumer Benefits Team means you will be part of the largest voluntary benefit program manager in the insurance consultant industry. Our cutting-edge data and analytics tools, coupled with our market leading value driven service model, puts a Lead Consultant at the forefront of engagement and voluntary benefits innovation. Lead Consultants partner closely with our Health Solutions colleagues to drive education, engagement and product strategies for our employer partners across the country.

Requirements

  • Exposure to voluntary benefits and enrollment solutions (open enrollment and new hire onboarding).
  • Minimum of 7 years field experience in the Life and Health insurance industry or the equivalent in a consultant role.
  • Superior communication and presentation skills.
  • Computer literate with Windows knowledge.
  • Must have ability to travel within your territory and outside your territory when required. Anticipated 30% travel time.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.

Nice To Haves

  • Must hold Life & Health insurance certifications in the state where domiciled or willing to obtain within 12 months post hire.
  • Sales experience and demonstrated sales success in large base market (2,500 or more benefit eligible employees).
  • Bachelor’s degree strongly preferred with emphasis on marketing, or equivalent years of industry experience.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for generating new sales through a consulting role dealing with various distribution systems, primary focus on working within Aon’s existing Risk and Health channels.
  • Executes marketing programs and strategies designed to increase distribution of the enrollment process and voluntary benefits.
  • Within the assigned area of responsibility, educates producers affiliated with Aon on the enrollment process and the sales and marketing strategies for voluntary benefits.
  • Assist in the implementation of the company’s marketing plan.
  • Assists in developing short and long-term marketing goals.
  • Maintains relationships with Aon producers within assigned area of responsibility to ensure a complete and thorough understanding of the enrollment solutions’ and voluntary benefits best practices.
  • Provides timely reports and feedback on all critical activity.
  • Performs all other related and compatible duties as assigned.
