We need a dynamic leader, at the Vice President (VP) level, who has a passion for building brands, driving business impact and leading a team of integrated marketers. This person will lead and grow Edelman’s remit through smart attention-grabbing work and elevated client relations out of our New York office. From planning and strategy to creative and measurement, you will be leading a business that is pioneering the earned communications landscape with consumer lifestyle focus. Core components of this role include: Experience in an integrated agency team (IAT) environment; able to lead and adapt ideas to fit those channels in collaboration with team and agency partners. Understanding the value of earned programming and how “PR” has evolved and translates in today's complex media environment. Building relationships and providing daily strategic counsel with clients across all brands in remit. Our clients are communications AND marketing leads, so a general understanding of the full marketing ecosystem inclusive of paid, social, retail, influencer and PR, is a must. Demonstrating the ability to evolve brands, to promote them and to garner attention and drive consumer action, along with knowledge, passion and track record in earned media strategy, counsel and activation. Leading and growing a team of direct and indirect reports by motivating, coaching, consistently providing feedback, and leading by example. Showing financial acumen and the ability to lead a profitable business. In this role, you will be empowered to think and operate beyond traditional ‘PR’. The communications industry has greatly shifted and so too has our role, and the opportunities to impact business in a new era of marketing are endless. From digging in on the IAT with creative, digital, and paid media agencies, to elevating partners, maximizing events and collaborations, to ongoing strategic client counsel, this role will expand your communications aperture and challenge your thinking. Requirements

  • At least eight years of relevant experience in public relations and/or related fields including research, advertising, management consulting, media and publishing.
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience

Nice To Haves

  • Strong understanding of how to communicate with teams and work from both client and agency sides.
  • Experience with consumer brands with interest in food and beverage
  • They should have a track record of leading profitable programs that have advanced client business goals.
  • They should be a superb people manager and have experience successfully managing resources and budgets as well as helping win new business.
  • They will be entrepreneurial and professional and have the confidence necessary to manage a team.
