The role encompasses a wide range of activities, including reinsurance pricing analysis, interaction with our Broking teams, client interaction as well as research projects. As a Vice President, you will provide actuarial reinsurance pricing and dynamic portfolio optimization support for our clients and prospects.

Requirements

Able to apply advanced mathematical / actuarial concepts and techniques
Skilled in using Microsoft Excel and other software
Skilled in R and Python

Bachelor's degree or commensurate experience
9+ years’ related experience
FCAS or ACAS
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and R and/or Python
Moderate travel required, including some overnight travel

Responsibilities

Perform actuarial analysis to develop loss model for client business, estimate reinsurance pricing, and determine optimal reinsurance structures given client risk profile and underwriting strategy
Present analyses in clear terms appropriate to the audience
Provide value-added service to clients as needed
Assist in market and line of business studies to qualify Gallagher Re as thought leader in reinsurance and primary marketplace
Work closely with other analytical associates across Gallagher Re, including other actuaries, catastrophe modelers, rating agency advisory, ERM and capital markets associates
