Tufts Medical Center is seeking a dynamic and accomplished physician leader to serve as Vice Chair of Radiation Oncology. This individual will partner closely with the Department Chair to provide strategic, clinical, academic, and operational leadership across all areas of the department. The Vice Chair will play a critical role in advancing excellence in patient care, education, innovation, and research. Key responsibilities include collaborating with the Chair to develop and execute the department’s strategic vision, overseeing clinical operations to ensure high-quality and safe patient care, driving growth initiatives, supporting faculty recruitment and mentorship, promoting clinical research, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, and fostering a culture of collaboration. The role also involves partnering with the administrative team on financial planning, driving updates to the radiation oncology model across four sites of care, developing a system-wide model, conducting quality assurance, representing the department, and facilitating business development. This position offers a substantial opportunity to impact a large number of patients, drive system-wide improvements in quality and safety, participate in the selection and implementation of new technologies, and expand radiation oncology’s footprint as part of a broader Cancer Service Line integration within a growing, high-impact department.
