We invite Vice Chair of Education candidates to discover all that we can do when we bring healing hearts, inquisitive minds and visionaries together in our Department of Internal Medicine team at Atrium Health – Carolinas Medical Center, in Charlotte, NC The Department of Internal Medicine at Atrium Health and Wake Forest University School of Medicine Charlotte is seeking a board-certified physician to assume the role of Vice Chair of Education. The Vice Chair will work with and report directly to the Chair, Department of Internal Medicine to establish an overarching, long-term plan for the department that considers the unique context in which the department exists and strategic vision for medical education in Internal Medicine and at Atrium Health and Wake Forest University School of Medicine. This plan will foster innovation, integration and be responsive to opportunities in this complex academic organization. The Department has 36 core faculty members and 56 residents. Wake Forest University School of Medicine will open its Charlotte campus in 2025. The new campus will increase national recognition and prominence of Atrium Health and Wake Forest University School of Medicine in key areas, including Aging and Mobility, Alzheimer's Disease, Cancer, Cardiovascular Disease, Diabetes & Obesity, Pain & Addiction and Regenerative Medicine.
