About The Position

VIC Radio is seeking a 50 Hour Marathon Coordinator for the 2026-2027 academic year. This student role involves the planning and execution of the 40th Annual 50 Hour Marathon, a fundraising tradition benefiting a local Ithaca nonprofit, as well as the 50 Hour Kick-off Concert, both scheduled for spring semester 2027. The coordinator will also lead the process of selecting a local nonprofit to support. This position is part of Ithaca College’s student employment program, which aims to provide meaningful experiential learning opportunities, develop transferable skills, and foster personal and professional growth by allowing students to apply classroom knowledge in real-world professional settings.

Requirements

• Organized and detail-oriented.
• Strong communicator both in-person and via email.
• Able to attend weekly VIC Radio Executive Staff meetings and General Staff meetings.
• Has been a member of VIC Radio for at least one semester.
• A collaborative team player.

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute the 40th Annual 50 Hour Marathon, a fundraising tradition benefiting a local Ithaca nonprofit.
• Plan and execute the 50 Hour Kick-off Concert.
• Take the lead on helping the VIC Radio team choose a local nonprofit to support.
• Attend weekly VIC Radio Executive Staff meetings.
• Attend General Staff meetings.
