About The Position

Newton Veterinary Hospital is seeking an experienced veterinary technician with advanced emergency and ICU skills to join our overnight team. This role is ideal for a highly skilled technician, preferably a Certified Veterinary Technician (CVT), who is confident working in emergency settings and providing advanced patient care overnight. Requirements

Experienced veterinary technician (CVT/RVT preferred but not required based on experience)
Strong emergency, ICU, and anesthesia knowledge
Comfort working independently as a technician during overnight shifts with the support of present DVM
Experience in emergency or specialty settings preferred
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Ability to remain calm and organized under pressure
Physical ability to lift and restrain animals safely

Responsibilities

Support ICU and critical care patients
Administer advanced treatments and monitor hospitalized cases
Assist with emergency procedures and advanced ER surgeries (including GDV and abdominal emergencies)
Work confidently in a fast-paced emergency environment
Provide leadership, mentorship, and strong clinical support to the team
