About The Position
Amici Pet Hospital is hiring a Veterinary Technician! Position Details Role: Experienced or Registered Veterinary Technician Award-winning Amici Pet Hospital in Little Italy is a fast-growing, multi-doctor practice looking for a Veterinary Technician to join our compassionate team. Our ideal candidate is hard-working, works well in a team environment, loves what they do, and treats every patient as if he or she is their own. Tech experience and anesthesia/surgery/dentistry experience are preferred. Candidates must have strong communication skills and be computer-savvy with strong attention to detail. We are offering a Full-time position that includes two Saturday shifts (8:30 am - 2:30 pm) per month. Wages will be determined by experience. Responsibilities
- Anesthesia and Surgery monitoring
- Dental prophy and extractions (RVT)
- Proper restraining of patients
- Assisting with doctor exams
- Injections (IV, SQ, IM)
- IV catheter placement
- Blood draws
- Proper radiograph technique
- Critical care (triage, treatment, monitoring)
- Effective, people-oriented communication
- Assisting receptionists when able
