Portage Veterinary Clinic is seeking an experienced Veterinary Technician who wants to feel truly valued as a professional. This position is structured as a four-day workweek to support work–life balance and consistent scheduling. Responsibilities

  • Work collaboratively with colleagues and maintain clear, professional communication
  • Support newer staff members when appropriate
  • Stay committed to ongoing professional development
  • Knowledge of preventative care and vaccines
  • Experience in monitoring anesthesia
  • Emergency and surgical care - including IV catheter placement
  • Obtaining diagnostics - including radiographs, phlebotomy, and sample collection, and performing in-house lab work
  • Professional, compassionate communication with clients and staff
  • Succinct documentation of patient records and client interactions
  • Prepare exam rooms, treatment areas, and surgical suites
  • Maintain equipment, inventory, and supplies
  • Uphold all cleanliness and infection control standards
