Experienced or Licensed Veterinary Technician
About The Position
University Veterinary Hospital is Hiring a Veterinary Technician! We are a team-oriented, 5-doctor practice of passionate professionals looking to add a Veterinary Technician to our crew who is proficient in anesthesia, performing dental prophylactic procedures, and taking dental radiographs, and who also fosters a positive training experience for veterinary assistants. We are seeking an enthusiastic team member! RVT’s are preferred, but we will consider a candidate with 2+ years of solid technician experience. Nice To Haves
- Cornerstone software experience is a plus
- RVT’s are preferred, but we will consider a candidate with 2+ years of solid technician experience.
Responsibilities
- Safe and effective patient handling and restraint
- Knowledge of preventative care and vaccines
- Experience in monitoring anesthesia
- Emergency and surgical care - including IV catheter placement
- Obtaining diagnostics - including radiographs, phlebotomy, and sample collection, and performing in-house lab work
- Professional, compassionate communication with clients and staff
- Succinct documentation of patient records and client interactions
