About The Position

Veterinary Technician Homestead Full-Time Homestead Animal Hospital is actively looking for a full-time Veterinary Technician to join our expanding team of collaborative and team-oriented professionals. We are a growing, fast-paced, general practice that has provided veterinary care to our patients for decades. The ideal candidate would be highly motivated, energetic, and compassionate towards our patients, clients, and Homestead Animal Hospital team. A positive and motivating attitude is a must. This candidate would be confident in rooming patients, assisting in surgery, monitoring surgery patients, surgical recovery, drawing blood and running bloodwork, placing IV catheters, knowledge of x-ray and proper positioning, experience with in-clinic laboratory equipment, comfortable with proper animal handling and restraint, understand the importance of client education and is a positive and supportive team player. Requirements

  • 1+ years of prior veterinary experience
  • Knowledge of industry tools and equipment
  • Experience with proper animal handling and restraint
  • Positive team player willing to continue to learn
  • Saturdays are a rotating shift 8 am-2 pm (or until finished with patients)
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Able to handle a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards of care

Nice To Haves

  • Avimark and Idexx knowledge preferred, not required
