About The Position

Full Time Evening Shift, 2:30pm-1am, Rotating Weekends, not major holidays. $2.50/hr additional shift differential. Qualified candidates will have previous supervisory or leadership experience and experience working in emergency veterinary medicine. MSPCA-Angell West, a 24-hour emergency and referral satellite hospital in the west suburbs of Boston, was opened in early 2014 by Angell Animal Medical Center. Requirements

  • previous supervisory or leadership experience
  • experience working in emergency veterinary medicine
  • Must have a working knowledge of complex diseases in order to provide nursing care and develop and train member of the ECC team.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in the hiring, training, and coaching and performance evaluation process for all ECC Service Staff.
  • Create work schedules, prepare payroll, and process personnel records for Inpatient Service Staff.
  • Must have a working knowledge of complex diseases in order to provide nursing care and develop and train member of the ECC team.
  • Assist clinicians in triaging, stabilizing, and providing high quality nursing care to patients and offer instruction and demonstration to veterinary students, interns, residents, and other technicians.
