Veterinary Technician Supervisor
About The Position
The Technician Supervisor role will allow you to take the skills and experience you’ve gained over the years in this profession and put them to great use with our hospital. This is a working supervisory position responsible for the leadership and development of the patient care team. Technical skills that you will be utilizing (and teaching!) include: Client education and communication Compassionate patient care Patient assessment Surgical preparation and assisting Anesthesia induction and monitoring Lab sample collection and processing Venipuncture and catheter placement Pharmacy and medication administration Diagnostic imaging Medical recordkeeping Supervisory duties will include: Team training, development and support Implementing department policies and procedure Scheduling staff and conducting team meetings Accurately handling and recording controlled drugs Record keeping Inventory ordering and management Equipment maintenance
Requirements
- Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) is required for this role
- Full -Time
