Grady Veterinary Hospital is looking to add a compassionate and skilled Registered Veterinary Technician to our team. Grady Veterinary Hospital is a full service, 24 hour emergency, specialty, and general practice hospital serving the Greater Cincinnati region. We are seeking a Registered Veterinary Technician to join our fast paced, dynamic GP and ER departments. This department is ideal for technicians who are eager to expand their skillset, collaborate across hospital teams, and play an integral role in patient care. Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Veterinary Technician Certification required ( RVT)
  • Minimum two years of prior veterinary hospital experience required, surgical experience not required but must be willing to train
  • Must have a positive attitude and be a team player

Responsibilities

  • Provide compassionate care to pet patients and their loved ones
  • Perform triage and initial interventions with emergency patients
  • Conducts basic examinations to assess stability.
  • Perform advanced nursing skills, including CPR, Phlebotomy, Cystocentesis, lab tests and various medication administration
  • Administer and monitor sedated patients for minor procedures as well as advanced anesthetic skills for emergency surgery
  • Assist DVM in scheduled GP appointments and walk -in appointments
