Veterinary Urgent Care of the Desert is a state-of-the-art Urgent Care and Surgery facility located in Palm Desert, California. We are looking for a passionate, talented Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) to join our team. About you: Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) with an active California license Minimum of 2 years experience, ideally in Urgent Care or Emergency medicine Consistently displays a professional demeanor, excellent communication skills and accountability High emotional intelligence, empathy and maturity Committed to providing the highest quality patient care Performs well in a team-oriented work environment Excellent problem solving skills and a positive attitude Ability to maintain composure in high-stress situations

Requirements

  • Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) with an active California license
  • Minimum of 2 years experience, ideally in Urgent Care or Emergency medicine
  • Consistently displays a professional demeanor, excellent communication skills and accountability
  • High emotional intelligence, empathy and maturity

  • Ability to maintain composure in high-stress situations
  • Ability to commute/relocate: Palm Desert, CA 92211: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)

Responsibilities

  • Medical All California RVT medical related job abilities
  • Will train as needed
  • Administrative Assist Care Coordinators with answering phones as needed, using a professional and compassionate tone at all times
  • Work with technology to ensure efficient workflow
  • Act as a liaison between doctors, clients, and patients
  • Obtain client and patient information for medical records
  • Send messages to clients as needed
  • Keep in consistent contact with in-hospital team members (via chat and/or phones)
  • Maintain the flow of each patient visit.
  • Understand where each patient is during every step of the visit process, and consistently keep clients updated
  • As needed, assist with performing daily callbacks to check on patients and answer client questions
  • Assist all other healthcare team members as needed
  • Other duties as needed/assigned
