What You’ll Get To Do : As a Veterinary Surgical Technician at SPCA Florida, you will play an integral role in patient care and workflow efficiency. Our surgery technician team is fully utilized and trusted with a wide range of responsibilities, including: Surgical prep, monitoring, and recovery Safe and accurate anesthesia administration Preparation of patients for surgery - proper clipping, prep/scrub, and positioning Experienced in taking radiographs and positioning Blood draws, catheter placement, and diagnostic sample collection Client education and communication Supporting veterinarians in pre-surgical exams, procedures, and treatments You’ll be empowered to use your skills and encouraged to keep learning.
