About The Position

Receptionist Caring Hands Rockville is hiring a part-time Front-Desk Receptionist to be the first point of contact for our veterinary clients, playing a crucial role in setting the tone for their visit. Salary: $18.00-$20.00 per hour, dependent on experience and skill Schedule: This is a part-time position, Evening hours 2pm-8pm 3 days a week, and every other Saturday 7:30 am to 4:30 pm About Caring Hands Rockville Caring Hands Animal Hospitals are large, well-equipped, AAHA-accredited facilities. Requirements

• Previous experience as a veterinary receptionist is required.
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills
• Ability to maintain a calm, professional, and positive demeanor

Responsibilities

• Greet clients and their pets, complete the appointment sign-in process, confirm appointment details, and escort clients to exam rooms.
• Ensure accurate service and product sales accounting, handle payments, process credit/debit cards, and schedule future appointments.
• Answer client calls for appointments, hospital inquiries, medication refills, and other requests.
• Make outbound calls for appointment reminders and follow-ups.
• Understand common vaccination protocols, basic lab tests, common diseases, veterinary terminology, and pet behavior.
• Assist in maintaining cleanliness and organization to ensure a positive client experience.
