About The Position

Pure Paws Veterinary Care of Hell's Kitchen is seeking part-time and full-time Front Desk Receptionists to serve as the initial point of contact for veterinary clients, playing a vital role in shaping their visit experience. The ideal candidate is a customer service professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment, communicates effectively, and is passionate about animal care. Pure Paws Veterinary Care of Hell’s Kitchen, located in Manhattan, is a full-service, Fear-Free Certified, Cat-Friendly Practice® dedicated to providing exceptional veterinary medicine. The clinic offers a personalized approach to pet care, developing customized wellness plans for each patient. Their state-of-the-art facility includes advanced diagnostic equipment such as ultrasound and digital radiography, supporting comprehensive care from routine exams and dental care to surgery and in-house laboratory testing. Led by Dr. Stephanie Liff, the team prioritizes preventive care, client education, and fostering a calming, stress-free environment for pets and their families. The clinic operates seven days a week, serving the Hell’s Kitchen community with compassion and expertise.

  • Previous experience as a veterinary receptionist is preferred

Responsibilities

  • Greet clients and their pets, complete the appointment sign-in process, confirm appointment details, and escort clients to exam rooms.
  • Ensure accurate service and product sales accounting, handle payments, process credit/debit cards, and schedule future appointments.
  • Answer client calls for appointments, hospital inquiries, medication refills, and other requests.
  • Make outbound calls for appointment reminders and follow-ups.
  • Understand common vaccination protocols, basic lab tests, common diseases, veterinary terminology, and pet behavior.
  • Assist in maintaining cleanliness and organization to ensure a positive client experience.
