About The Position

O’Connor Animal Hospital is a thriving, full-service practice providing exceptional care to dogs and cats in Irving, TX since 1997. Our team has proudly served the Irving, Texas community with a full range of services, including puppy and kitten vaccinations, routine wellness exams, diagnostic imaging, surgical procedures, bloodwork, dental care, boarding, and grooming. Led by Dr. Kang, our experienced veterinary staff shares a genuine passion for animal health and well-being, working closely with pet owners to support every stage of a pet’s life. We also offer advanced surgical specialties such as laparoscopic and orthopedic procedures and are proud to be associated with local organizations including the DFW Humane Society and Paws for Irving Animals. To better serve our diverse community, our team provides care in English, Spanish, and Korean, ensuring clear communication and a welcoming experience for every client and patient. Job duties include, but are not limited to: Maintain the visual appeal or the hospital reception area, greet and welcome clients and patients, answer questions and triage client concerns, answer calls or emails and direct to the appropriate party for resolution, schedule appointments to maximize efficiency and daily flow, check in and check out clients and process payments. Our receptionists offer friendly emotional support in a compassionate and discreet manner during times of need to our clients and must be comfortable with various medical outcomes. Must be able to withstand unpleasant odors and noises. May be exposed to bites, scratches, animal waste and potentially contagious diseases. Requirements

  • Experienced Receptionist with a minimum of 1-year veterinary experience preferred
  • Compassionate, Calm, Team Player, Multi-Tasker and Strong Communicator
  • Highly organized and possess computer skills
  • Self-starter with the desire to continue to advance your knowledge and skillset.
  • Bilingual, English/Spanish required
