Pure Paws Clinton Hill is seeking a full-time Practice Manager Who are we looking for? From advanced surgical procedures and internal medicine to personalized wellness plans and integrative medicine offerings, like Acupuncture, our DVMs are trusted by pet parents across the city. We’re now seeking a dynamic Practice Manager who shares our passion and can help unlock the full potential of our practice—supporting our doctors, enhancing operations, and fostering a thriving, collaborative environment where pets and people come first. About Us – Pure Paws Clinton Hill: Pure Paws Veterinary Care of Clinton Hill provides personalized, high-quality care with tailored wellness plans and a calm, collaborative approach for pets and their families. The full-service hospital offers wellness and preventive care, dentistry, surgery, urgent care, advanced diagnostics, and select holistic therapies. The clinic is equipped with modern technology including ultrasound, digital and dental X-ray, in-house diagnostics, therapeutic laser, EKG, echocardiogram, cryotherapy, and EZ Vet practice management software. Located in Brooklyn’s Clinton Hill neighborhood, Pure Paws is part of a three location NYC network and offers a supportive, growth focused environment within a vibrant, accessible community.

Requirements

  • Proven ability to balance business needs with team well-being.
  • Strong organizational and prioritization skills.
  • Experience interpreting data and using it to inform decisions.
  • Capable of independently formulating and executing plans, while also collaborating effectively with leadership.
  • Previous management experience in a veterinary setting is required.

Responsibilities

  • Lead daily operations with confidence and composure, even under pressure.
  • Directly responsible for scheduling veterinarians and CSRs, collaborating with Nurse Manager to appropriately schedule veterinary assistants and LVTs to maintain optimal coverage and workflow.
  • Collaborate with medical teams to uphold high standards of patient care and clinical efficiency.
  • Monitor patient flow and collaborate with Medical Director and Nurse Manager to implement strategies to reduce wait times and elevate the client experience.
  • Balance the needs of the business and staff with thoughtful decision-making.
  • Take initiative in identifying obstacles or opportunities, formulating solutions, and driving results independently and collaboratively.
  • Design and execute marketing strategies to attract new clients and promote services.
  • Analyze performance metrics and financial reports to identify growth opportunities and operational improvements.
  • Ensure smooth front desk operations including auditing scheduling, check-in/check-out, client communications, and client service and retention protocols and initiatives.
  • Address client complaints with empathy and professionalism, turning challenges into opportunities for service recovery.
  • Build strong relationships with clients, ensuring their needs are met with professionalism and empathy.
  • Confidently handle demanding client interactions and resolve concerns with tact and clarity.
  • Develop client retention and outreach initiatives to boost engagement and loyalty.
  • Represent the hospital at community events and foster partnerships with local organizations and referral networks.
  • Oversee hiring, onboarding, training, and performance management of staff.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and team collaboration.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and well-equipped facility that reflects the hospital’s commitment to excellence.
  • Oversee billing, insurance claims, and client account management.
  • Develop and manage budgets, ensuring financial health and sustainability.
