About The Position
Rocklin Ranch Veterinary Hospital is now offering veterinary student externship opportunities for periods of 2 weeks for 3rd and 4th year students. We allow for one extern at any given time, and this allows for a personalized experience with as much hands-on experience as possible. Join us to be offered the opportunity to learn in a high-energy practice that offers both urgent care & general practice appointments. Externship Program Goals: Learn to apply academic knowledge on-the-go in a busy general practice Shadow veterinarians during appointments & review cases (both general practitioner and urgent-care based) Assist with patient care Gain hand-on experience with diagnostics, dental COHAT and surgery Exposure to client relations and small business management Review client communication strategies
Requirements
- 3rd or 4th year student
Responsibilities
- Learn to apply academic knowledge on-the-go in a busy general practice
