About The Position

VCA Valley Animal Hospital in Roanoke, VA is seeking a full time experienced Veterinary Assistant to join our team. About Us We are a fast-paced practice offering Primary Care, Surgery, Dentistry, and more. Our hours are Monday 7:30am – 7:30pm, Tuesday through Friday 7:30am – 5:30pm, Saturday 7:30am – 12:30pm, closed Sundays. We value teamwork and open communication. Our team takes pride in providing exceptional patient care, utilizing modern equipment and Fear Free techniques. Responsibilities

Compassionate patient care
Client education and care
Obtaining patient history from clients
Filling prescriptions
Preparing suite and surgery and dentistry patients
Performing laboratory work and diagnostic imaging
Maintaining medical records
Safe and effective patient handling and restraint
