We offer many services to provide the best comprehensive care to our patients including Preventative Care, Surgery, High Speed Dentistry, In-House Diagnostics, CR full body and digital dental radiology, Medical and/or Vacation Boarding and more. Job Description Job duties include, but are not limited to: We’re looking for an experienced Veterinary Assistant to join our team! This role is ideal for someone with previous VA experience who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about patient care.
Requirements
- Prior VA experience strongly preferred
- Comfortable with animals, clinic sights, sounds, and odors
- Ability to work safely around potential bites, scratches, or contagious diseases
- Experienced Veterinary Assistant with at least 1 year of hands-on experience preferred
- Compassionate, calm, team-oriented, and able to multitask effectively with strong communication skills
- Skilled in safely restraining pets
- Proficient in sample collection, medical history intake, lab work, radiographs; anesthesia monitoring is a plus
- Self-motivated with a desire to grow skills and advance professionally
Responsibilities
- Restrain and triage patients, collect and analyze lab samples
- Assist with diagnostics, surgery, and anesthetic monitoring
- Provide nursing care for hospitalized patients
- Administer medications and communicate treatment plans with clients
