Job Description Job duties include, but are not limited to: We’re looking for an experienced Veterinary Assistant to join our team! This role is ideal for someone with previous VA experience who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about patient care.

Requirements

  • Prior VA experience strongly preferred
  • Comfortable with animals, clinic sights, sounds, and odors
  • Ability to work safely around potential bites, scratches, or contagious diseases
  • Experienced Veterinary Assistant with at least 1 year of hands-on experience preferred
  • Compassionate, calm, team-oriented, and able to multitask effectively with strong communication skills
  • Skilled in safely restraining pets
  • Proficient in sample collection, medical history intake, lab work, radiographs; anesthesia monitoring is a plus
  • Self-motivated with a desire to grow skills and advance professionally

Responsibilities

  • Restrain and triage patients, collect and analyze lab samples
  • Assist with diagnostics, surgery, and anesthetic monitoring
  • Provide nursing care for hospitalized patients
  • Administer medications and communicate treatment plans with clients
