Requirements

  • Are an experienced veterinary assistant (minimum 3 years in a veterinary clinical setting required)
  • Have worked with sick patients providing cage-side nursing care and treatments
  • Are skilled in blood draws, IV catheterization, digital radiology, and laboratory tests
  • Can handle and safely restrain cats and dogs in a high-stress environment
  • Are technology savvy and able to adapt to different veterinary practice software systems
  • Want to elevate the level of medicine you practice
  • Strive to provide every client with compassion and care
  • Are team-oriented with a strong work ethic

Responsibilities

  • Patient Care: Assist with triage and emergency care, including performing or assisting with physical examinations, administering medications, monitoring fluid levels and vital signs.
  • Client Communication: Educate clients, provide compassionate support, present recommended treatment plans with estimated costs, and review discharge instructions.
  • Veterinarian Assistance: Carry out tasks, verbal or written, as requested by the veterinarian to support diagnostic and treatment processes.
