Position Overview: As a Veterinary Assistant, you will support doctors and technicians in delivering outstanding patient care. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a high-energy environment, enjoys working closely with animals and people, and is eager to grow their skills in veterinary medicine.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 1 year of clinical experience required (preference for ER or specialty experience)
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to multitask while staying detail oriented in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to lift 40 (forty) pounds unassisted
  • Availability to work overnight, weekends, and holidays

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with veterinarians and other teammates to ensure excellent patient outcomes
  • Provide hands-on patient care in ER and ICU settings
  • Restrain and handle patients safely and compassionately
  • Maintain clean and organized treatment and hospital areas
  • Monitor patients and report changes in conditions to the medical team
  • Assist with diagnostic imaging, laboratory testing, and emergency procedures
  • Participate in maintaining hospital cleanliness and infection control standards
