About The Position

VCA West Linn Animal Hospital is looking for experienced Technician Veterinary Assistants to join our 2-doctor General Practice! We are looking for experienced (2-year minimum) Technician Assistants or certified Veterinary Assistants to provide excellent patient care with a focus on urgent care and client education. Technician Assistants are responsible for preparing exam rooms for the doctors and assisting in providing care for the patients hospitalized in the treatment area. As a member of the VCA West Linn team, you will support the Technician and Doctor teams by creating a positive, low-stress atmosphere for our clients and patients. Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years experience in general practice or veterinary setting.

Responsibilities

  • Restraining and assisting in patient exams and routine procedures.
  • Taking detailed medical histories and patient vitals.
  • Filling prescriptions (as allowed by law).
  • Performing laboratory work and diagnostic imaging.
  • Providing compassionate care for our hospitalized animals.
  • Maintaining medical records.
  • Assisting our wonderful Doctor and Technician staff as needed.
  • Maintaining a clean, safe hospital environment.
