As a Veterinary Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting our veterinarians and veterinary technicians in delivering high-quality care to our patients. You will assist with a variety of tasks, including patient care, client communication, and maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the hospital.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in a veterinary setting
  • Passion for animals and a commitment to their well-being.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and as part of a team.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to new procedures and protocols.
  • Physical ability to handle and restrain animals safely.

Responsibilities

  • Assist veterinarians and veterinary technicians during examinations, treatments, and surgical procedures.
  • Provide compassionate care to animals, including restraint, feeding, and monitoring patients.
  • Perform routine tasks such as taking vital signs, collecting samples, and preparing animals for procedures.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including exam rooms, treatment areas, and kennels.
  • Assist with client communication, including answering questions and providing updates on patient status.
  • Administer medications and treatments as directed by the veterinarian.
  • Ensure accurate record-keeping and documentation of patient care.
  • Assist with inventory management and stocking of supplies.
  • Support the hospital team in providing a high standard of care and client service.
