About The Position

VCA Hillsboro Animal Hospital is seeking an experienced full time Veterinary Assistant to join their AAHA-accredited 4-doctor practice in Coconut Creek. The team is very oriented, enjoys and encourages each other's growth and success, and places a strong emphasis on learning and development. They are passionate about providing the best care possible for each pet and exceeding expectations with the client experience. The team treats patients like family, and clients appreciate the enthusiasm and personal attention. The hospital provides Primary Care, Surgery, Dentistry, and more. As a Veterinary Assistant, the role involves helping to create and maintain a positive, low-stress atmosphere for patients and clients.

Requirements

Experienced as a Veterinary Assistant
Ability to provide compassionate patient care
Ability to provide client education and care
Proficiency in venipuncture and catheter placement
Proficiency in radiology and diagnostics
Ability to perform lab sample collection and processing
Ability to perform surgical preparation and assisting
Ability to perform anesthesia monitoring
Proficiency in dentistry procedures
Ability to perform medication preparation and administration
Proficiency in safe and effective patient handling and restraint
Ability to perform medical recordkeeping
