About The Position
VCA Animal Specialty Group, located in beautiful San Diego, is seeking experienced Veterinary Assistants to join our team of emergency & specialty technicians. Our state-of-the-art hospital offers the best critical care support equipment as well as diagnostic & imaging equipment to provide exceptional veterinary care! In this position, you will be supporting our Doctors and Technician team by creating a positive atmosphere for our clients and patients. Responsibilities
- Maintaining medical records
- Filling prescriptions
- Performing laboratory work and diagnostic imaging
- Providing compassionate care and a home away from home for hospitalized pets
- Client communication & discharging patients
- Triage emergency patients & provide treatment plans
- Assist with treatments & out patient procedures
- Participate in CPR & life saving procedures
- Venipuncture & IV Catheter placement
