About The Position

Requirements

• Graduate of an AVMA-accredited Veterinary Technician program (or equivalent 4+ years’ experience ).
• 3+ years’ practical experience as a veterinary assistant, technician, or veterinarian.
• Strong communication skills (verbal/written).
• Expertise in veterinary assisting/technology.
• Ability to create dynamic, inclusive learning environments.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google Suite, and educational technology .

Nice To Haves

• 3+ years of teaching experience in veterinary sciences.
• Current CVT, or RVT license/certification (or state-equivalent).

Responsibilities

• Teach the Veterinary Assistant program using curriculum-aligned lesson plans tailored to diverse learning styles.
• Evaluate and provide feedback on student work within 72 hours.
• Collaborate with admissions, career services, and externship partners to support student success.
• Address academic/behavioral concerns promptly and escalate to the Veterinary Technician Program Director as needed.
• Maintain office hours, attend faculty meetings, and participate in professional development.
• Enforce safety protocols for students, staff, and visitors.
