Community Care College is currently accepting applications for a veterinary assistant instructor. This position is a permanent part-time position. The Instructor will work under the direction of the program Department head and the Primary instructor in supporting the department to deliver both theory in the classroom, laboratory education, as well as offer assistance during field trips. This instructor should possess knowledge of concepts, theories, and practices related to veterinary medicine.

  • Work with students in the classroom using materials provided
  • Implement activities as directed to support established curriculum
  • Work well with team of 1-2 other teachers
  • Exhibit patience and self-control
  • Attend staff training as required
  • Work cordially with staff and faculty
  • Other duties as assigned or requested by the Department head or Primary instructor
  • High school diploma
  • 3 years of experience in the field required.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the organization.
  • A collaborative team player, who can work effectively with employees, and team members.
  • Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality.
  • Strong customer service with a can-do attitude and strong interpersonal skills.
  • Work requires working with highly sensitive or confidential information under FERPA guidelines.
  • Ability to stand for 5 hours or longer.
  • Registered Veterinary Technician license preferred, will consider those with veterinary knowledge and training but no license.
  • Knowledge of Canvas Learning Management System a plus but will train
