Vessel Fitter/Welder
About The Position
GasTech Engineering LLC is seeking a highly skilled Fitter Welder with extensive experience in pressure vessel fabrication for gas processing applications. This role requires precision, safety, and craftsmanship in structural and vessel welding. Applicants must successfully complete a Plate Test for Structural and Vessel Welding: 3G Position on ¾” plate with a 30º bevel Open root downhill pass using GMAW (MIG) Uphill fill and cap using FCAW (Flux Core) Full penetration weld from one side only (no backside weld) Weld will be inspected: Visually per QW-462.2 by a Certified Welding Inspector In accordance with ASME Section XI QW-302.4 Subject to X-ray, cut, and bend testing
Requirements
- Minimum 10 years of welding experience in heavy fabrication or pressure vessel work
- Proficient in GMAW (MIG) and FCAW (Flux Core) processes
- Strong understanding of ASME welding codes and procedures
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and welding symbols
- Experience with full penetration welds and single-side welding techniques
