Your Impact The Vertex Global Human Resources Co-Op program is a 6-month experiential training program for students currently working towards an undergraduate or advanced degree in Human Resources Management, or other related fields. If you are passionate, collaborative, and growth-minded, a co-op at Vertex will help you gain meaningful experience in our manufacturing functional areas and serve as a launchpad for your career. What you will be doing: We are seeking a highly motivated and proactive individual to join our Global Human Resources - Org. Development & Culture team co-op. This is an excellent opportunity for a student to gain hands-on experience in HR and contribute to our organization's success. Our HR department is comprised of multiple HR disciplines and capabilities, such as Talent Management, Organizational Design, Learning and Culture.

Requirements

  • Enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program in Human Resources Management, or another related field
  • Strong interest in pursuing a career in Human Resources
  • Knowledge of HR principles and best practices from coursework
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and collaborative skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States, now and in the future. Please note that Vertex does not provide sponsorship for internships or entry level roles within this part of the organization.
  • You must be enrolled in an advanced degree program if graduating before June 2026
  • You must be available to work full-time, 40 hours per week from January - June 2026

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to Org. Development & Culture projects with a focus on supporting talent management and org. design initiatives
  • Conduct analysis on Org. Development & Culture efforts and their overall impact to the business, e.g., usage of Org. Design and talent management resources
  • Monitor and analyze Org. Hygiene data to identify trends and areas of concern based on Org. Design principles; support and fulfill data requests; provide recommendations for process, technology and automation enhancements to the Org. Hygiene governance and monitoring approach
  • Support Talent Management practices through gathering data and analysis efforts; understanding trends and needs for our internal talent.
  • Design and develop clear communication and knowledge management articles to engage stakeholders around talent development processes and actions.
  • Conduct research and analysis on Org. Design and Talent Management best practices and trends to support continuous improvement efforts.
  • Provide general administrative support to the Org. Design and Talent Management teams, including preparing reports, and coordinating related events e.g., training.
