Our Energy Design group seeks students who would like to gain practical experience while working on building energy analysis in a consulting environment. Within our group's core activities of simulation and verification, the student will research building technologies, review construction documents, and analyze collected data. Strong preference will be given to mechanical engineering students willing to work through a semester (e.g. May through December). The Verification Technician position performs construction document reviews, various take-offs, and creation of draft reports for projects that have finished design or have completed construction. The primary responsibility is developing supporting documentation to confirm the status of planned energy saving measures and assistance in the creation of associated reports. The role seeks a strong interest in sustainable design features, integrated building design projects, and measurement and verification of building and engineered systems' performance.
