About The Position

Intel is shaping the future of semiconductor innovation by delivering industry leading platforms and technologies that power the world's computing infrastructure. We are seeking an Emulation Engineer to join our pre silicon validation and design enablement teams. In this role, you will develop and deploy high performance emulation solutions that accelerate SoC/IP validation, software brings up, and system level debug for next generation Intel products. You will work closely with design, verification, validation, and software teams to ensure robust, scalable, and efficient emulation environments that enable early discovery of functional and performance issues.

Requirements

  • Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field with 1+ years of experience
  • Experience in the following: Digital design System Verilog / Verilog Scripting languages such as Python, Tcl, or Perl for automation

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in the following: Emulation or prototyping platforms (Cadence Palladium, Mentor Veloce, HAPS) Hardware emulation, specifically Synopsys ZeBu Hybrid emulation, simulation, or virtual platform integration Software driven validation, firmware brings up, or baremetal testing
  • Familiarity with industry standard interfaces such as PCIe, USB, Ethernet, AMBA, UART, or JTAG
  • Analytical, debugging, and cross team communication skills

Responsibilities

  • Develop, build, and maintain RTL to emulation flows on Synopsys ZeBu platforms for complex SoC and IP designs
  • Configure, partition, and optimize large designs for emulation performance, capacity, and debug efficiency
  • Enable presilicon validation, post silicon correlation, and software bring up using emulation platforms
  • Debug and analyze hardware and software failures using waveforms, logs, and hybrid emulation techniques
  • Integrate emulation environments with simulation, virtual platforms, and FPGA prototypes as needed
  • Collaborate with design, DV, silicon validation, and software teams to define requirements and test strategies
  • Develop and maintain automation scripts, flows, and tools to improve emulation productivity and usability
  • Document methodologies, best practices, and debug guidelines to support broader engineering teams
