Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Optical Communications.
  • Minimum of 3+ years of experience with coherent optical modem concepts and optical networks.
  • Proficiency in automation languages such as Python, with experience writing and troubleshooting scripts.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a commitment to product excellence and quality.
  • Knowledge of software testing methodologies and best practices.
  • Understanding of IP and Ethernet networking concepts, including TCP/IP, routing, switching, and VLANs.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, to collaborate effectively in a multi-site environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with CLI, JSON, and SDKs for device configuration and communication.
  • Experience with Jenkins CI/CD or other CI/CD platforms.
  • Leadership capabilities and aptitude for team-oriented development activities.
  • Knowledge of lab test equipment and experience in a lab environment.
  • Presentation and public speaking skills to effectively convey technical insights.

Responsibilities

  • Drive the development of comprehensive test strategies and plans to validate customer use-cases and product capabilities.
  • Construct and manage test environments, ensuring seamless interaction across product features.
  • Execute validation testing activities, track defects, and collaborate with design teams for resolution.
  • Summarize and report test metrics, delivering clear and concise updates to stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts to ensure customer-focused solutions meet specifications and resolve issues.
  • Develop and enhance automation test cases to improve execution efficiency.
  • Support customer lab and field activities, ensuring issues are tracked to resolution.
  • Analyze customer-reported issues and work with teams to identify and implement design improvements.
