The Venue Telecom Service Manager (VTSM) is the on-site quarterback for all technology operations at a designated venue. This role demands a highly motivated, extremely detail-oriented leader who thrives in fast-paced environments. The VTSM is responsible for ensuring the seamless delivery and support of all telecommunications and network services by decisively directing the right teams to the right issues. While not a deep technologist, the VTSM must possess a strong operational understanding of networking and security to effectively triage and escalate issues. Key Responsibilities: • Serve as the primary on-site leader for all telecom and network-related operations at the venue. • Act as the first line of triage for network issues—quickly assessing and routing tickets to the appropriate technical teams (network, security, broadcast, etc.). • Lead the planning, installation, testing, and operational readiness of telecom infrastructure including WAN, LAN, WLAN, VoIP, and mobile networks. • Serve as the 'tip of the spear' for identifying and escalating on-site network issues, ensuring minimal disruption to operations. • Maintain a broad understanding of Cisco LAN and wireless technologies to effectively coordinate with engineering teams. • Understand and align telecom operations with both physical and virtual security requirements. • Build and manage a diverse team of contractors, engineers, and volunteers to support venue technology services. • Coordinate with the Cluster Telecom Service Manager to align venue execution with broader cluster strategies. • Monitor risks, manage incidents, and escalate unresolved issues to the Technology Operations Center (TOC). • Maintain meticulous documentation and provide regular updates on progress, issues, and resolutions.
