About The Position
Atomic exists to build the next generation of great companies. Not by funding other people's ideas, but by originating, validating, and launching businesses ourselves, alongside some of the most talented founders and operators in the industry. We prototype new ventures and assemble teams to scale the most promising ideas into independent companies, ones that improve the future, add real value to people's lives, and make life a little more joyful. Since 2012, we've founded and scaled more than 20 companies, including Hims & Hers (NYSE: HIMS), Bungalow, Homebound, Found, Replicant, and Exowatt. We're looking for a Venture Studio Associate to join our team in Miami. This is a two-year long program working at the earliest possible stage of company creation, before there's a product, a team, or a roadmap. You'll work alongside experienced founders and operators to figure out whether an idea deserves to exist, and if it does, help bring it to life. The work looks different every week. Customer discovery, industry mapping, cold outreach to domain experts, quick prototypes to test assumptions. As ideas gain traction, you shift into something closer to an early employee, shaping product direction, go-to-market, and early operations. Many people in this role have gone on to join one of the companies they helped incubate, start something of their own, or move into the wider venture space. You won't be handed a project with clear deliverables. You'll be given an ambiguous question and expected to figure out how to answer it.
Requirements
- Genuinely curious and go deep on things that interest them.
- Comfortable reaching out to strangers
- High tolerance for uncertainty
- Don't need someone to tell them what to do next.
- Builders in some sense: a side project, an early-stage role, something they pursued with unusual focus.
- AI-native. Not people who use AI occasionally, but people who already reach for tools like Claude, Cursor, or ChatGPT to move faster, automate workflows, and prototype ideas.
