The Vendor Manager plays a key role in managing relationships with suppliers, ensuring they meet the company’s performance and delivery standards. This role is responsible for negotiating contract terms, monitoring supplier performance, and implementing strategies for continuous process improvement. The specialist works closely with internal teams to align business objectives with vendor-provided services.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
  • Relevant experience in Power/Utility vendor management or similar roles.
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to make data-driven decisions.
  • Proficiency with vendor management tools and related software.
  • Problem-solving skills and conflict resolution abilities.
  • Knowledge of industry regulations and standards.

Responsibilities

  • Negotiate and review supplier contracts, ensuring terms are favourable and compliant with company policies.
  • Monitor supplier performance through regular evaluations and analysis of key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Manage vendor relationships, resolve disputes, and facilitate effective communication between parties.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to understand requirements and ensure suppliers meet expectations.
  • Implement continuous improvement strategies to optimize costs and process efficiency.
  • Ensure compliance with industry regulations and standards in all supplier interactions.
