This position serves as a Vendor Services Analyst and will support the financial management activities for the Bureau of Response, assisting with budget management and procurement coordination. Duties include, but are not limited to: Assist in tracking and reviewing Response’s annual budget, including operating funds, grant-funded projects, and position rate controls. Assist in analyzing current and projected budget expenditures, ensuring accurate documentation and reporting. Support Response’s annual budget management by assisting in data collection and financial reporting for operating funds and grant-funded projects. Coordinate with the Bureau of Financial Management and the Office of Procurement and Contract Management to assist with procuring goods and services for Response and the SERT. Assist in monitoring and tracking purchases, invoicing, and payment close-out activities, ensuring alignment with budget and procurement policies. Perform necessary duties during activations of the SEOC, including working non-traditional hours when needed. Assist with travel coordination, including but not limited to Response’s leadership travel; special projects, and other tasks as assigned by senior staff. Perform other related duties as assigned. In response to emergency events, FDEM employees may be required to work irregular hours, to work more than 8 hours per day, to work extended periods (including nights, weekends, and holidays), to work at locations other than their official headquarters, and to perform duties in addition to those outlined in the employee’s position description. Employees must be able to deploy to emergency sites with limited advance notice.
