Job Summary The Supervisor Field Services is a member of the Area Management Team responsible for the on-time delivery of customer reports within the designated area. The standard service cycle is 30 days from the date of order, and it is the primary goal of NRS to have 100% on time delivery for all clients. The Area Supervisor is provided with state-of-the-art tools and analytics to ensure compliance with this important goal. This is an exempt, salaried position with the employee reporting to the Area Manager (AM). The AS is assigned to specific roles by the Area Manager. Within these roles they are responsible for participating in operational decisions at both the tactical and strategic level. AS’s may help Area Managers review incoming assignments and decide how the work is placed with contractors, monitor legal compliance in regulated states, interact directly with our clients, the insureds, and our approved vendors. The AS, while under the direction of their Area Manager, is given a high level of autonomy to make decisions which determine the outcome of their area’s inspections. Area Supervisors are expected to operate under their Area Manager with minimal supervision so decisions are made quickly in support of their mission to deliver quality reports on time. They are expected to be experts on their area and the clients they serve and as such they play a role in advising senior management in matters of corporate strategy. In addition to their normal duties, Area Supervisors may be asked to oversee projects which have a substantial impact on the organization. This could include in depth analysis of customer quality complaints or time service with the goal of making the company better. They could also be asked to be the primary contact for certain accounts which require a high level of communication or assistance from management. Each Area Management Team uses roles and tasks to manage their inventory and communicate with clients, vendors, and others. Roles within the team may be occupied by an Area Assistant, Area Supervisor, Area Production Manager or Area Manager. As an Area Supervisor they will act in roles which touch these three areas of responsibility. A ticketing system is used to assign and track tasks, requests, and assure prompt communications. Tasks are classified by tiers and Area Supervisors may handle Tier 1 and 2 tasks after they complete the necessary training. With supervision and at the direction of their Area Manager, Area Supervisors may perform Tier 3 tasks. [Reference Tiers & Tasks List}
