We are seeking a Vendor Specialist (On-Site, Huntington Station) to serve as the strategic lead for our key STEM vendor relationships. In this role, you will become the 'go-to' expert for your assigned product lines, managing the flow of technical information from vendors to our sales team. Your mission is to ensure pricing accuracy, product mastery, and become the liasion that empowers our sales team to solve needs for our school partners. This is an in-office role

Requirements

  • 2–4 years of experience in product manangment, vendor management sales enablement, product marketing or a related specialist role.
  • Proven track record of managing marketing collateral and coordinating with sales teams.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Business, Marketing or a related field.
  • The ability to lead 'Train-the-Trainer' sessions, ensuring the sales team is confident in presenting technical product features.
  • Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint.
  • Strong communication skills both written and oral.
  • A proactive, multitasking self-starter who excels in fast-paced environments.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in the K-12 Education or EdTech industry is a significant plus.
  • HubSpot a plus

Responsibilities

  • Strategic Vendor Liaison: Serve as the primary operational point of contact for assigned vendors; lead regular business reviews and strategic check-ins to align vendor roadmaps with company goals.
  • Product & Program Enablement: Lead the rollout of vendor-specific initiatives, including product training and incentive programs.
  • SME & Technical Sales Support: Develop and maintain deep "Subject Matter Expert" knowledge of our educational product lines to resolve technical inquiries and help support the sales team during the discovery phase.
  • Product Authority & Asset Management: Own the accuracy of monthly pricing matrices, technical presentations, and sales enablement collateral.
  • Strategic Data & Funding Analysis: Create targeted customer lists based on specific school budget cycles and funding sources; maintain the integrity of the contact database to drive high-conversion outreach.
  • Product Demonstrations: Lead expert-level product demonstrations and trainings for internal teams, translating educational product features into value-driven solutions.
