About The Position

Amerit Fleet Solutions, one of the leading Fleet Maintenance companies in the U.S., is seeking an experienced Vendor Relations Specialist. The Vendor Relations Specialist represents Amerit to our current and future vendors. This person identifies qualified 3rd party vendors to meet Amerit’s needs and works to onboard them for parts or services, cultivating a positive working relationship with each off-site vendor.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, marketing, business administration, related field, or 5+ years of work experience in related field.
  • Proven experience working in the vendor field
  • Proficient in all Microsoft Office applications.
  • The ability to multitask effectively.
  • Strong negotiation, management, and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Willingness to take initiative/self-starter
  • Ability to exercise independent judgment
  • Exemplary interpersonal skills
  • Comprehensive knowledge of automotive parts, equipment, and commodities.
  • Understanding best in class customer experience
  • Ability to collaborate at all management levels

Responsibilities

  • Identifies qualified vendors for each new launch to meet customer needs, along with current segments of business
  • Assist in vendor selection, due diligence oversight, and maintenance of vendor relationships
  • Make initial contact with proposed vendor to begin contract discussions in accordance with company procedures and regulations
  • Lead vendor qualification and vendor selection in support of Amerit Fleet Solutions
  • Become subject matter expert on the requirements to become a vendor for Amerit Fleet Solutions
  • Initiates, cultivates, and maintains strong relationships with vendors and the Amerit customers they support.
  • Develop policies, contractual guidelines, and performance measures that are consistent with Amerit Fleet Solutions and client standards
  • Ensure that contracts and vendor setup is kept on track and operational issues are identified and resolved up front prior to going live
  • Maintain and update all vendor account numbers in database
  • Ensure vendors are in compliance, and all dated documents are not expired
  • Day to day maintenance of onboarding paperwork and accounts
  • Follow up with all requested accounts to ensure customer account numbers are active and communicated to the field
