About The Position

Alcanza is a growing multi-site, multi-phase clinical research company with a network of locations in AL, AZ, FL, GA, IL, MA, MI, MO, NV, SC, TX, VA, and Puerto Rico. We have established a strong presence across Phase I-IV studies and several therapeutic areas including vaccine, neurology, dermatology, psychiatry, and general medicine. Join us as we continue to grow. The Vendor Relationship Manager plays a key role in ensuring that external vendor partners are aligned, prepared, and equipped to support study operations. This position is responsible for identifying and evaluating new vendors based on study‑specific requirements, coordinating onboarding activities, and ensuring vendors receive the training and resources needed to perform effectively. A major component of the role includes managing scheduling logistics, facilitating in‑person training sessions for vendor staff, and serving as the primary liaison throughout the vendor lifecycle. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree AND 3+ years of vendor management experience, OR and equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
  • Experience working with healthcare vendors in Puerto Rico market is required.
  • Must have license to drive with applicable car insurance and registration, as required in state or territory.
  • Bi-lingual (English / Spanish) proficiency is required.
  • Proficiency with computer applications such as Microsoft applications, email, electronic health records, web applications, and the ability to type proficiently (40+ wpm);
  • Performing basic clinical procedures such as blood pressure, vitals, EKGs, phlebotomy, etc
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Well-developed written and verbal communication skills.
  • Well-developed interpersonal and listening skills and the ability to work well independently as well as with co-workers, subjects, managers and external customers.
  • Ability to effectively handle multiple tasks, and adapt to changes in workloads and priorities.
  • Must be professional, respectful of others, self-motivated, and have a strong work ethic.
  • Must possess a high degree of integrity and dependability.
  • Ability to work under minimal supervision, identify problems and implement solutions.
  • Ability to handle highly sensitive information in a confidential and professional manner, and in compliance with HIPAA guidelines.

Responsibilities

  • Identify and evaluate new vendors based on study requirements and operational needs
  • Lead vendor onboarding, including documentation, orientation, and readiness checks
  • Coordinate scheduling and logistics to support study timelines
  • Deliver in‑person training to vendor staff to ensure protocol and process adherence
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for vendor partners
  • Maintain strong, ongoing relationships to ensure alignment and satisfaction for both parties
  • Monitor vendor performance and address issues proactively
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure vendor capabilities match study needs
  • Active participation in special projects, as needed.
  • Identify opportunities to improve vendor processes and efficiencies.
  • Perform all other duties that may be requested or assigned.
