About The Position

The Amazon.ca Consumables team is seeking a self-driven Vendor Manager candidate to support their Vendor Management team and vendor partners. Vendor Managers work directly with vendors to improve value, selection, and convenience across their business, playing a critical role in managing strategic and established brands to drive profitability and top-line performance for their category. The role requires customer obsession and analytics to drive business, engaging with multiple internal teams to optimize product line performance for key manufacturers on Amazon.ca. Strong communication skills are essential for collaborating with cross-functional partners such as site merchandising, buying, pricing, inventory management, operations, online marketing, and finance. This position offers the opportunity to execute analytical deep dives to inform category growth strategies and initiatives, gaining experience in vendor management and category growth. Amazon.ca Vendor Managers develop strong functional skills in online merchandising/marketing, buying, planning/forecasting, pricing, and business analytics. This role is part of the General Management career path at Amazon, serving as an excellent introduction to various business functions and providing advancement opportunities to more senior roles in Marketing/Merchandising, Vendor Management, Product Management, and Inventory Management. The Canada Consumables Vendor Management team manages relationships with top vendors in the Beauty, Grocery, Health and Personal Care, and Baby sectors for Canada, aiming to add value to customers and grow a sustainable business. The team values collaboration and customer obsession.

Requirements

  • 1+ years of account management, project or program management or buying experience
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Experience using Excel and other business analytic tools

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with software and editing tools (including HTML, Excel and SQL)
  • Experience in online retail
  • Experience using analytical specific tools such as Google Analytics, SQL or HTML
